#15: Progress, at last.

The wind blew from the north all night sending us back 5km but it also spawned a blessing, hardening the surface and making for much faster travel, 17km today. It was such a joy to feel the sleds gliding behind us as we skimmed across icy pans and crusty snow. Two narrow leads gave us little grief in fact we loved the break in monotony. The day was much warmer too, around -10c, a bit too warm for April on the Arctic Ocean!
I share a tent with Nacer and for a guy
who lives in North Africa he has adapted very quickly. We have adopted an efficient tent routine, getting dinner ready, water boiled and thermoses filled like a well-oiled machine. The photo is of him negotiating a small pressure ridge.
Loving it out here, as always. Eric
