Welcome to the first despatch from Pole to Pole Run. You are receiving
this because you are in the Icetrek database, either because you know
us or you have followed our previous expeditions. Please take the time
to familiarise yourself with this tracking website where we will post
updates daily from our tent. The map page will show you our location
on the Arctic Ocean - choose the Earth option where you can see the
lines converging at the North Pole. However we will not be there until
our start date on April 2. Once we begin skiing towards Canada the
distance calculator will give a better reference of how we are
progressing. Tonight we sewed the fur ruffs onto our jackets and
tomorrow we go out into the mountains of Svalbard for some training,
returning on March 25 and giving us a final week of preparation before
our departure. Click on the Pole to Pole Run logo for more details of
this project, it's sure to amaze you. Eric
