He is a renowned ultra-distance marathon runner and has previously run across the USA, twice, and around Australia, with no rest days. On April 5 2011, Pat embarked on the longest ultra-marathon in history, "Pole to Pole Run".

Clark Carter is an adventurer and filmmaker. He's traversed Victoria Island, sailed across the Southern Ocean and completed a source to sea of the Sepik River in PNG. Clark's role on the North Pole leg of the journey will be to send out one minute of video each and every day whilst on the ice.
